College Board:
AP Biology CED (newly revised in 2019)- Course and Exam Descriptors
AP Biology Formulas and Equations- Latest version. (College Board revised this in August 2019)
*NEW* beginning Fall 2019: College Board's AP Classroom. *FYI: Teachers were not given access to the site until the first day of school (8/1/2019). Here's what I know, as of 8/8/19:
www.albert.io - While this is a very good free site, they have an incredible paid site that has extensive assessments to better prepare you for the AP Bio Exam. Our Magnet Foundation has generously paid for students to have access to the site the past 2 years. Codes will be given in class for the upcoming school year (as soon as they're available)
Fall 2018: Kahn Academy is now the official partner for AP. Videos and practice questions are available to help you prepare for all topics and concepts related to AP Bio.
Unit Tests- Practice Questions Online:
Although this isn't the book we use, you can use the chapter drop-down menu and find the corresponding unit.

Recommended Books:
The below recommendations were put on this site last year (2018). With the CB curriculum changes recently made, these could change. You might want search for any new books published in 2019.
Recommended 2014-2018: **www.amazon.com should have all of these:
1- Pearson Education 'Test Prep Series for AP Biology'. Get 2013 or 2014 (or newer, if one has been published). Wheeler has these books available for issue in the fall, but they are prior to the year that the Exam was redesigned in 2013. Although the ones you can check out at school will help you prepare for my Unit Tests, they are not the best for preparing for the AP Exam.
Books Strictly for AP Exam Prep (posted in 2018):
2- 'AP Biology Crash Course' (get 2013 or newer, if published).
3- 'Cliff Notes- AP Biology' (get 2013 or newer)

- If a student has not previously made an account on www.collegeboard.org, do that first!
- Class Codes for all 3 blocks were given to students in each of my classes, via 'hard copy', on 8/6/19 (*I cannot post that info)
- Registration for ALL May 2020 AP exams will be exclusively through AP Classroom ONLY
- DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR EXAM IS 11/12/19
- "Personal Progress Checks" (administered by College Board) will be assigned shortly before each of our (8) Unit Tests. Here is the link to the Student Guide.

Video Lectures:
- There are youtube video lectures on every unit we study. Depending on the topic, I will recommend particular ones for each individual unit of study on the Unit sub-pages. Overall (meaning most every unit), I think you should give 'Science with Mr. J' a try. Here's the link to his home page on youtube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCEOQ8VtshGGs2V-Iy0ry2aQ/feed
- Recently stumbled upon a video on youtube.com made by biologymonk. His explanations were very clear. You can subscribe to his channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/BiologyMonk/videos), as he has many other videos on topics we cover (btw...he does physics and chem videos, too!)
