Surface Area and Volume Problem - I also included a Standard Deviation and Standard Error problem. Watch the Bozeman videos on these topics (links are in 'UNIT 1') and LEARN HOW TO DO STAN. DEV. LabBench- Virtual Labs (can also find these on Pearson website. Use your Pearson log-in): 1-Prelab-Osmosis (Water Potential) - This will be stapled on the front of the 'Osmosis Water Potential Lab' when it's turned in. 2-Prelab- Enzyme Catalysis: This will be stapled on the front of the 'Catalase' Lab when it's turned in.
Dilutions: 1- Molarity/Dilution Problems. Equation: M1V1=M2V2 (aka C1V1=C2V2, where C=Concentration). 2-Dilutions- Review and examples of calculations (each lab group be doing serial dilutions for Unit 2 labs, so make sure you know how to do them)
Review: 1-Unit 2 Review 2- "The Cell" Review 3- Go to Pearson website with your log-in. Go to 'Study Area' for Ch 6-8. Go over the Reviews and Quizzes. 4- Go to 'Resources' (near the top of the right column). There is a link to another book's practice questions and there are some good questions for review.
Energy and Thermodynamics: Gibbs Free Energy Video (*ask me if this concept will be done in depth for this unit or the next unit. Regardless, be familiar with the equation in terms of enthalpy and entropy and what each means. Also, distinguish endergonic from exergonic. See Ch 8 PPt, above in the 'Power Point' section)
